On more than one occasion, I’ve set out to have a blog on whatever iteration of my website existed at the time. I’ve tried using it for full, written posts (some of which I already have here, though you can see the frequency of those, indicating how successful I’ve been), and sometimes I tried just making it a “here’s something I saw” situation. This time, with the recent push I’ve seen on Mastodon and across other small bloggers to blog (including the helpful You should blog by Keith Kurson) I’d like to be a part of the movement and just push myself to blog.

For too long, we’ve tossed our thoughts into the social media aether, and while I still there’s a place for that, I think we shouldn’t forget that there’s a place for blogs too.
